So Alex is growing out of her clothes so fast, and I could just throw her old clothes away...but oh no...not me! I'm on a big "refashioning" kick. I've been so obsessed with sewing that now I look at other items of clothing and if they have holes, stains or rips I try to decide what I could make out of them...
Like this outfit.
I took her old jeans, cut the legs off, added fabric and it becomes a super cute skirt. (I promise it's straight. It's just hard to get a serious picture with this stinker.) But I think I love this skirt so much because my mom made me one just like this when I was little.
The shirt had stains up toward the top, but that is easily taken care of... I just made some "yo yos" with buttons, sewed it to the shirt, and you don't even know the stains are there!
It's so fun!
And I'm such a nerd.
I know.

Anyway, just a side note...this little turkey and I were sick with the vomits last night. Ugh. I hate being sick, but it's sad to see your little ones so violently sick.
But not even 24 hours later this is what she looks like. Look at that face....you wouldn't even know she was sick...well, maybe that hair would give you some kind of a clue!
But we are all doing much better...just waiting for Phil to get it...he doesn't think he'll be bit by the bug, but it's a strong one, so don't be too sure! ;)
I'll save you some Gatorade, babe!

Look at you go! Did you sign up for the Wardrobe Refashion, cuz you should. I have a pile of stuff patiently waiting for me, but I'm sure it will have to wait a little while longer.
I'm glad you guys are feeling better...the zoo sounds good to me, let's go!
I was so laughing out loud at the comment you left me. I totally get your feelings towards him! It never ceases to amaze me the cute things that you make! Glad you guys are doing better now.
Really cute outfit Des. Glad you are having so much fun being super creative, and happy you are both feeling better.
Once again, you amaze me...
So cute. I just touched my sewing machine a few days ago and while I enjoy it, I don't think I could make a living at it. I get bored too easy. The things you are coming up with are super cute and look easy to replicate. Keep it up so I can get ideas!
Dang it! The 24 hour vommits are certainly going around. We had it here!
Look at your new talent! I am impressed. Good to see you are doing well.
Can I hang out with you, please? I need some of your talent to rub off on my, plus, I MISS YOU!
That is the cutest!! I wish I could learn all these cute things you do.
Very Cute!! I wish I enjoyed sewing.
